Helina Pierre, M.S., BCBA
Helina Pierre began her clinical journey in 2003, delivering ABA services across various settings in South Florida, including clinics, homes, and schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Florida International University in 2005. Following her graduation, she joined the North Dade Early Steps Evaluation team in 2007, where she honed her skills in standardized assessments, developing Individualized Family Support Plans (IFSPs), family engagement, service recommendations, and early intervention services.
In 2011, Helina completed her Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University. She became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2014 and founded Developmental & Behavioral Specialists (DBS) in 2017.
With experience spanning from infancy to adulthood, Helina has provided services in diverse settings, including clinics, group homes, schools, and family homes. She has successfully trained and supervised numerous student behavior analysts, many of whom have become independent BCBAs. Outside of her professional role, Helina enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and two dogs.
